I always had a soft spot for Dead End Justice. I love all the drama and that the song tells a story.

I agree on "Dead End Justice". I was just 9 years old when my aunt bought me the first album... way back in 1977 when that kind of music really wasn't normally heard coming from teenage girls. It really made a HUGE impact on me that sticks with me to this day. Anyway... most of my favorite tunes are from the first album: "Dead End Justice", "Thunder", "Blackmail", "Lovers", "Rock And Roll", "American Nights", and of course "Cherry Bomb"... but some of my other faves are "Hollywood", "Wasted", "School Days", "Trash Can Murders", "Gotta Get Out Tonight", "Little Sister", "Born To Be Bad" (I love Joan's spoken part in that!), "C'mon", and many, many years ago I had this compilation that Kim Fowley put out called "Hollywood Confidential" that had a final-days lineup of the Runaways doing a song that I can't remember the name of (I lost that record around '84 or so), but the song rocked! Anyone remember that one? So there ya go... I could never narrow it down to just a few songs... there are just too many great ones. Never really liked "Johnny Guitar" too much though.

Aww, poor ole "Johnny Guitar". I have to laugh when I see so many of us not liking that song....Okay, yesterday, FINALLY, I got the "Waitin' for the Night" reissue---WHAT WAS I WAITING FOR??? It's so **** cool, the picture on the CD and the photos and the mini poster....Wow, it felt almost like buying the LP back in the day when it was new, and seeing this new bass player and no Cherie...I remembered how wierd that felt when i first bought that album. It took me back! It sounds great, even with the first note gone from "Gotta Get Out Tonite" due to the removing of the "raspberry". Are all the reissues packed with notes and new pictures like this one?

Yep, each and every reissue is packed full of new goodies (pictures and write-ups). Don't pass them up.

Man... those re-issues couldn't have been timed out any better for me! Just last November I lost about 3,500 records in a car wreck when I was moving to Vegas, and all 4 of my Runaways records (2 of which I had owned since I was in grade school) were casualties. Thank you Cherry Red! They did a great job with the remastering and the artwork! Even the gatefold of "Live In Japan" was sort of re-enacted. I still miss my vinyl though.

    Let's see...

    Pre-Mercury: Always liked C'Mon.

The Runaways: Cherry Bomb, You Drive Me Wild, and American Nights, with a soft spot for Thunder and Lovers, not especially great songs, but I always liked how Joan and Cherie sounded together.

Queens Of Noise: Midnight Music, Born To Be Bad, I Love Playin' With Fire, California Paradise, Hollywood.

Live In Japan: Queens of Noise, I Wanna Be Where The Boys Are, C'mon.

Waitin' For The Night (Seems to be everybody's favorite Runaways album): Wasted, Gotta Get Out Tonight, Wait For Me, School Days, Waitin' For The Night, You're Too Possessive. Great backing vocals from Sandy.

And Now... The Runaways: Saturday Night Special, Mama Weer all Crazee Now, Black Leather. Have a bit of a soft spot for Little Lost Girls, because it sounds like a band saying goodbye.
